ENCARTA 97
Encarta 97 is a project formed by Pedro CeƱal Murga (Superplasticfantastic) and Rodrigo GutiƩrrez (Rodman). Rather than committing to a specific genre or trend, the duo experiments with whichever sounds they sympathise with. Both DJs find inspiration from local clubs and underground parties in their native Mexico City, as well as from the vast musical offer found on independent labels and internet radio stations. Aside from its musical outputs, the project also manifests through a visual campaign inspired by nostalgic pop iconography and ubiquitous merchandise in contemporary material culture.
